Job Summary

The Project Manager will oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, adherence to specifications, and budget control. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating labor, subcontractors, and materials
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety policies
  • Liaising with project owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and tradespersons
  • Monitoring and enhancing labor productivity
  • Forecasting costs
  • Identifying and addressing areas of risk and deficiency

Education and Experience

A degree or diploma in construction management or engineering, or equivalent field experience, is required. A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in the construction industry is also necessary.

  • Construction scheduling, planning, and execution
  • Blueprint reading
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Established mechanical practices, procedures, and techniques
  • Applicable local and provincial labor codes
  • Managing and leading union staff
  • Organization and time management
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
