About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and educating patients on self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing from an approved institution.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Proven experience in surgical nursing, with a strong understanding of relevant procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Compensation

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of $54,500 - $76,300 per annum, commensurate with experience.
