Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Community Outreach Director - Refugee Support Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time exempt position with a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of programming and compliance for LIHTC and other housing supporting services.
  • Developing and maintaining systems for Care Teams to access the social service system.
  • Creation of KPIs to indicate growth of programs over time.
  • Tracking interactions with neighbors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Assistance in navigating and accessing social service organizations, implementing care team plans.
  • Creation, coordination, and provision of training opportunities for block captains and care teams.
  • Volunteer activities and recruitment coordination.
  • Refugee housing program development and oversight.
  • Mentorship of interns.
  • Support in grant writing and selective fundraising efforts, presenting on behalf of The ROME GROUP at community, church, and school events.

  • Ability to develop new systems.
  • Capacity to function well in high-paced and at times stressful environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including setting priorities, managing simultaneous initiatives, and operating effectively in deadline-driven environments.
  • Grant application writing and execution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within teams and with individuals as well as groups with various identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
