Strategic Pharmacy Director

Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate, develop, and implement best-in-class Payor programs and solutions to the insurance and benefits market.
- Plan and lead coordinated stakeholder strategies to engage and win clients.
- Manage the Specialty Pharmacy Kroll Central Maintenance team, the pharmacy adjudication/reporting system, Kroll.
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights on pharmacy specialty drug/program dispensing trends.
- Strategically plan and direct pharmacy activities to reduce and mitigate claw backs from third party payer audits.
- Liaise with critical cross functional departments to build and deliver Payor programs.
- Develop financial profitability models to drive pricing and negotiation terms of new programs/solutions.
- Build and execute on short- and long-term strategic partnership roadmap for Biopharma & Provider solutions.
- Lead contract negotiations and execution with key stakeholders.
- Accountable for program financial performance and oversee the budget for internal and external clinical resources.
- Ensure Payor Programs are executed with excellence and operating efficiently.
- Drive thought leadership on the Payor Strategies and best practices through ongoing competitive market research.
- Lead interactions within internal teams regarding PPN strategy and act as a subject matter expert in the payor space.
- Lead identification of new business opportunities, business cases, and RFP responses for new opportunities.
- Develop network of strong client relationships with key Payors.
- Lead relationship management activities and build product awareness with consultants and carriers.
- Drive McKesson awareness and recognition in the Payor landscape.
- Manage the Specialty Pharmacy Kroll Central Maintenance team.
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights on pharmacy specialty drug/program dispensing trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Advanced degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in P&L management.
- Experience with Payor, Health and Drug benefit programs.
Key Competencies:
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, trends and provide insights.
- Project/program/product management experience an asset.
- Strong communication skills: interpersonal, writing, and presentation.
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong Problem Solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and represent BPS interest with stakeholders.
- Strong professional presence, planning, and advanced client management skills.
- Ability to participate in collaborative teamwork and experience working with large cross functional teams.
