Business Growth Strategist

At McCarthy Tétrault, we are seeking a Business Growth Strategist to join our team.
Job DescriptionThis position can be based out of Calgary, Toronto, or Vancouver. As a Business Growth Strategist, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team to develop and implement marketing and business development strategies to grow business with existing clients and secure new clients.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and executing evergreen business plans for assigned groups, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring actions and outcomes are tracked in Client Connect.
- Understanding business objectives and key contacts for assigned Priority Clients, developing and executing evergreen business plans, and providing support to the Cohort on related Priority Client plans.
- Brainstorming pursuit strategies for target clients in collaboration with key lawyers, supporting partners as Relationship Partners, and facilitating the rollout of Client Experience tools and resources.
You will also be responsible for continuously monitoring industry dynamics and market sectors to identify current and emerging client needs, sharing this understanding via reports, presentations, and conversations with relevant partners, and recommending timely marketing and BD strategies.
Additionally, you will ensure all significant deals, cases, and other matters are reported to and captured in the Deals and Cases Database, including coordinating with lead lawyers or matter teams to draft deal submission forms.
Requirements- Undergraduate University degree required.
- At least 3 years of experience in client relations and business development required.
- Ability to handle an extensive workload with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Professional maturity, strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, ability to strategize with lawyers, team members, and other parties to create targeted content to meet business objectives.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure takes into account the average salary range for similar positions in major Canadian cities, as well as the level of responsibility and expertise required for this role.
