Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at BGIS. This mid-entry level position is responsible for assisting other technicians, performing routine maintenance and repair services on non-technical facility components.

About the Role

This role involves working in accordance with established processes and practices, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and identify facility conditions and deficiencies, providing suggestions for enhancement and repair.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair services on non-technical facility components.
  • Comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations.
  • Monitor and inspect facility technical and non-technical components.
  • Respond to routine service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Operate facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
  • Manage work order life cycle, progressing from dispatched to completion, and record resolution data within the service maintenance management database.
  • Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facility operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair non-technical facility components.
  • Strong client-service orientation, with a high sense of urgency.
  • Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and information.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
