Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Facility Maintenance and Event Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our facility maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently. Your duties will include managing event checklists, creating unionized staff task lists, hosting shift briefings, and responding to facility labor requests.
- Oversee arena conversions and event operations for the department, including but not limited to managing daily event checklists, creating unionized staff task lists, hosting shift briefings, and responding to facility labor requests.
- Learn and understand detail-oriented manual labor procedures in a fast-paced work environment.
- Assist with overseeing third-party vendors, preventative maintenance contracts, long-term planning, shipping logistics, and human resource activities.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven supervisory experience in Production/General labour/Event coordinating or equivalent combination of education and experience within large multi-purpose arenas, convention centres, or operations.
- Ability to work overnight/holidays/weekends shifts, though we do respect a work-life balance.
- Strong demonstrated leadership experience.
- Experience in planning, overseeing, and executing events.
- Experience supervising in a unionized environment and weighing decisions with consideration to a collective bargaining agreement and Employment Standards Act.
