**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Corporate Officer to join our team at the District of North Vancouver. As a key member of our Corporate Services department, you will provide critical support to the Director, Legislative Services + Corporate Officer, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Director, including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
- Support the management of local government systems, records management, and electoral processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Supervise and mentor staff to enhance professional practice and promote a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree with a minimum of five (5) years related experience within a local government setting.
- Completed municipal administrations courses leading to a Certificate in Local Government Statutory Administration granted by the Board of Examiners and the Certified Municipal Clerk designation granted by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
- Proven technical, administrative, and supervisory skills, including experience overseeing local government systems, records management, and electoral processes.
