Position Title: Deputy Corporate Officer
This is an exciting opportunity to join the District of North Vancouver as a Deputy Corporate Officer. The successful candidate will bring broad experience in all aspects of the role and be prepared to support the Director, Legislative Services + Corporate Officer, in their duties.
About the RoleThe Deputy Corporate Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and support to the Director, Legislative Services + Corporate Officer, and will play a key role in ensuring the effective functioning of the Corporate Services department.
Key Responsibilities- Providing administrative support to the Director, Legislative Services + Corporate Officer
- Assisting with the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures
- Coordinating and supporting the work of the Corporate Services department
- Providing advice and guidance to Mayor, Council, and staff on legislative matters, bylaws, and council meeting-related topics
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience within a local government setting. The successful candidate will have completed municipal administration courses leading to a Certificate in Local Government Statutory Administration granted by the Board of Examiners and the Certified Municipal Clerk designation granted by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
