Advanced Cardiac Diagnostic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Cardiac Technologist Advanced to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
About the OpportunityThe successful candidate will perform a range of noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, and exercise tolerance testing. They will also be responsible for preparing patients for ambulatory monitoring and precepting new learners in the department.
This is a multi-site position between the Halifax Infirmary, Victoria General, and the Mumford Professional Centre. The Halifax Infirmary is the home site.
Job Description- Perform noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests
- Prepare patients for ambulatory monitoring
- Precept new learners in the department
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and excellent communication skills. They will also be required to work independently and make sound judgments.
Requirements- Grade 12 plus a two-year BCIT program or acceptable equivalent required
- Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists required
- Current BLS certification required
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Manual dexterity required
- Demonstrates independent judgment
Salary: $28.71 - $30.83 hourly. Benefits include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
