What is the opportunity?
Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Branch Operations Manager. This position will provide operational and administrative support to the Branch Operations Managers, the Branch Director, and the advisory teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client account activities, ensuring compliance standards are met, and supervising branch staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Branch Director's directives and ensure the branch is efficiently and effectively managed
  • Manage the daily administrative operations of the branch, including the approval of incoming and outgoing daily transactions
  • Assist with training new branch support staff and coordinate ongoing training initiatives for existing branch staff
  • Ensure compliance and internal control requirements are met
  • Verify and approve outgoing assets, cheques, and bank wires
  • Verify and action requests submitted by sales support staff through the internal workflow business application system
  • Verify documentation and approve account openings

Requirements

Must-have

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), preferably already approved with CIRO
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and maintain professionalism in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of the firm's operations, policies, and procedures regarding client accounts, including internal controls
