About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring that we meet our production targets and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and supervise the activities of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
  • Manage the operational processes of your sector, achieving and monitoring production objectives.
  • Manage budgets and ensure the quality of products.
  • Plan daily operations and follow up on them.
  • Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
  • Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector.
  • Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
  • Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
  • Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
  • Exercise leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier.
  • Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.
Requirements
  • Diploma in operations, production, or engineering management or a related field (aeronautics an asset).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
  • Managerial courage when managing personnel.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
  • Motivated by a stimulating and fast-changing environment.
  • Proficient in French (bilingualism an asset).
  • Flexible to work other shifts if required.
