Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an integral part of our company, this role will maintain the day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accuracy in our processes. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to reconcile computer systems and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring all supplier statements are reconciled and required payments are determined on a weekly basis
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all customer accounts are reconciled and invoiced as required
• Assist in reconciling project budgets
• Prepare GST returns
• Complete monthly reconciliations of credit card statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist in maintaining the project management system, ensuring all project estimates and budgets are set up correctly
• Assist with developing and implementing internal processes for increased efficiency
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting is required
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and QuickBooks is required
• Previous accounting experience in a similar role is preferred
• Construction Project Management Software knowledge would be an asset
