At Douglas College, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Part-Time Faculty member to teach courses in cultural anthropology, archaeology, and Indigenous culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning lectures and seminars, instructing students, assessing student progress, and providing academic advice.

To be successful in this role, you must have a completed PhD in Anthropology from an accredited university or be a doctoral candidate with a defence date established. You should also have demonstrated evidence of experience in teaching courses in cultural anthropology, archaeology, and Indigenous cultures, particularly at the first-year level.

In addition to your teaching expertise, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds. You should also be able to maintain a positive working environment and actively contribute to collegial activities within the department, faculty, and college.

Douglas College offers competitive salaries, ranging from $52.41 to $114.65 per hour, depending on the number of credits and term of appointment.
