Computer Science Instructor Opportunity at Douglas College

We are seeking an exceptional Computing Science instructor to join our team at Douglas College. As a faculty member, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students, facilitating learning, and evaluating student progress in College courses. You will plan, organize, and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners, and maintain quality learner-centered instruction.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct students in first- and second-year university transfer computer science courses
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and success
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support continuous improvement
To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field from an accredited university. Relevant post-secondary teaching experience is also essential. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C++ and Python programming and experience with microcontroller boards, game development, and/or computer graphics is an asset.
