Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team at the Canadian Armed Forces. As a key member of our training team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct front-end analysis to define training requirements and develop training plans and instructional lessons.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate training programs to meet the needs of Canadian Armed Forces personnel.
  • Conduct staff professional development and integrate instructional technology into the classroom setting.
  • Work with senior leadership to provide insights and analysis on how to best train the military to meet the needs of Canada's missions.
  • Collaborate with instructors and training staff to develop and refine training programs.
Work Environment

As a Training and Development Specialist, you will work in an office setting at a Canadian Armed Forces school, unit, base, command, or at National Defence Headquarters. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to the development of training programs that make a real difference in the lives of Canadian Armed Forces personnel.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training delivery. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
