About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Representative to join our team at the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP). As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in identifying customer needs and building relationships with prospects to sell personal insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Establish contact with prospects, develop relationships, and sell personal insurance products, including home and auto insurance.
  • Relationship Building: Create a trusting environment that fosters new sales opportunities and retention of existing business.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate within the team unit and independently to contribute to overall business improvement.
  • Customer Support: Own and resolve all customer inquiries, minimizing customer effort.
  • Account Management: Accurately process account changes, maintain complete customer documentation, and prepare correspondence.
  • Complex Case Resolution: Tackle complex insurance-related cases, utilizing all available resources to achieve full resolution.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate logs of quotes completed, sales completed, and other measurements for monthly reporting requirements.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on company underwriting guidelines and changing markets.
Requirements
  • AMF License: Possess an AMF license or be willing to obtain one within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in personal lines, automobile, and property insurance.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer issues in a pleasant and positive manner.
  • Time Management: Superior time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, with preference given to candidates with experience using Epic, Salesforce, and Company portals.
  • Language Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in English and French.
