Gulf Operators is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Operations Director to lead our operations team. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong background in construction management, business development, and financial management.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. A proven track record of managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects is desired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to all areas of the business, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission, and goals.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports, including the Human Resources Manager, Operations Manager, Director, Aggregate, and Director, Business Development.
  • Partner with applicable areas of the Business including Human Resources, Finance and Communications to properly prepare and execute on business objectives.
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals and bids for new projects.
Financial Management
  • Manage profit and loss statements to ensure financial health and profitability.
  • Develop and oversee annual budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making for projects and work being completed.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure efficient and effective execution of all projects, meeting, or exceeding client expectations.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and asset management to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
Safety and Compliance
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure environmental compliance in all projects and promote sustainable practices.
  • Regularly review and update safety protocols and training programs.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. The estimated salary for this position is $150,000 per year.
