We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to play a critical role in our team, assisting in the assessment and design of security systems and processes related to cloud services technologies.

About the Role

This position is responsible for conducting security assessments and designing security systems and processes related to Cloud services technologies. The successful candidate will be able to review, develop, and/or recommend SA&A (Security Assessment & Authorization) artifacts and activities as part of the development lifecycle for cloud-based applications, systems, or solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Risk Calculations: Perform thorough risk calculations to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
  2. Communication and Collaboration: Justify and answer questions of risk calculations and findings to project sponsors and executives, providing clear and concise information to facilitate informed decision-making.
  3. IT Security Control Profiles: Develop and tailor IT Security Control Profiles (SCP) for legacy and cloud environments, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  4. Security Assessments: Conduct comprehensive security assessments and design security systems and processes related to Cloud services technologies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  5. Analysis and Application: Review, analyze, and/or apply ITSG-33 methods, frameworks, and models, as well as IT Secure standards, communications, and security protocols, to ensure the highest level of security and compliance.
  6. Trend Analysis: Analyze and apply the significance and implications of market and technology trends to inform SAA roadmaps and solution designs, staying ahead of emerging threats and opportunities.
  7. Artifacts and Deliverables: Provide high-quality artifacts as part of the ITSG-33 SA&A process, including Statement of Sensitivity, Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM), Security Assessment Reports, Authority to Operate letters, and Security Impact Assessments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of cloud services technologies and security principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Experience with ITSG-33 methods, frameworks, and models, as well as IT Secure standards, communications, and security protocols.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to inform SAA roadmaps and solution designs.
