Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will provide support to the purchasing and pricing departments for HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies at Refrigerative Supply Limited. This role will serve as a liaison between Sales, Purchasing, and Suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and efficient procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with Suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Process new part set-ups, including description and costing, and update relevant Purchase Order information.
- Coordinate with Suppliers to resolve Purchase Order discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Assist Sales by creating stock transfers and following up on backorders.
- Provide purchasing vacation secondary coverage and run daily company stock replenishment transfers.
- Support Pricing and Warranty departments with data entry and back-up tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor.
Requirements:
- 2 years' experience in a wholesale purchasing role, preferably in the HVAC/R industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and make decisions.
- Proficiency in computerized purchasing and inventory systems, with strong Excel/Microsoft Office abilities.
- Ability to work independently, with good attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong motivation and initiative, with a focus on meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
