Job Summary

This role will support the business operations of Rheem Manufacturing Company's IBC Canada business unit. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality materials and components for our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase manufacturing components and materials based on inventory levels, targets, and demand.
  • Coordinate with customs and freight forwarders to ensure on-time, in-full shipping and reasonable pricing.
  • Collaborate with the IBC warehouse team to reconcile inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Assist in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) evaluation process and monitor inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing quality and suppliers to improve material and component quality.
  • Collaborate with the Rheem global sourcing community to introduce best practices and new secondary suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time, in-full delivery, product availability, and quality standards are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Science, or a related field is required, preferably with a concentration in Supply Chain Management.
  • Possessing SCMP designation is an asset.
  • Possessing CPIM and CSCP certifications is an asset.
  • ~3+ years of experience working as a purchasing clerk or procurement specialist is required.
  • ~ Previous experience sourcing and buying for a manufacturing environment.
  • ~ Previous experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • ~ Experience with SAP or Oracle is an asset.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to administer all aspects of the purchasing process.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends.
  • Ability to provide solutions to issues identified in data trends.
  • Ability to plan and organize projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, specifically Pivot Table and VLookUp.
