Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment to provide high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for observing and recording medication's therapeutic and side effects, taking vital signs, and monitoring established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team.
  • Record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files.
  • Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects.
  • Take vital signs.
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy.
Requirements
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
