About the Role


Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the team at Vancouver General Hospital.


As a member of the care team, you will work independently and collaboratively to provide full scope practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document client care, and provide support to clients and their families.


Key Responsibilities



  • Work as a member of an interdisciplinary care team to provide practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document client care.
  • Provide support to clients and their families.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence pursuant to the standards of practice of BCCNM for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Requirements



  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
