Building Facilities Coordinator

This position is responsible for maintaining exceptional service and resident experience through efficient maintenance in the parking, exterior, and amenity areas of the property.
Key Responsibilities:- Interact with residents in a customer-service oriented manner.
- Cleanliness duties including litter pick-up, sweeping, shoveling, pressure washing, or as assigned by the supervisor.
- Pool/hot tub/sauna daily maintenance.
- Waste/recycle/bin management.
- Garbage pickup in parkade and exterior street levels, daily.
- Amenity barbeque cleaning, daily.
- Potted plant maintenance, including watering.
- Outdoor shrub and seasonal plantings maintenance.
- Irrigation system monitoring and adjustment for optimal efficiency.
- Green roof maintenance; weekly checks to ensure all debris is removed, items are secure, and no hazards are present.
- Parking area supervision and Rule enforcement collaboration with the Resident Experience Manager.
- Lobby entrance snow removal and ice melt applications.
- Hazardous material handling and storage, ensuring SDS are readily available and up-to-date.
- Vendor and contractor accompaniment during work completion, if required.
- Work order completion and turnover maintenance assistance.
- Vacant suite daily checks for leaks, temperature fluctuations, or security breaches.
- Maintenance area cleanliness and safety standards adherence.
- Tool and equipment maintenance and servicing.
- Elevator testing, including cab levelling, emergency alarm button testing, and callout button testing.
- Hazardous material management and environmental hazard response.
- Rule and regulation breaches identification and reporting.
- High school diploma supplemented with OHSA, WHMIS, and First Aid certification.
- Basic building systems knowledge and general maintenance training.
- Minimum 1 year's experience in basic property maintenance.
- Property management or hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Effective communication and professional relationships development ability.
- Time allocation, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
- Fully mobile with the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Personal hand tools provision.
- Computer skills, including app working on handheld devices.
- Police clearance, required for employment.
Flexibility to work day, evening, weekend shifts, month end, regardless of weekend or statutory holiday status, and potential inclusion in emergency on-call rotation. Willingness to be available in emergency situations.
