We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Sports Facility Operations Coordinator at the Algonquin Students' Association.
**Job Summary:**
The Sports Facility Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our sports facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, and customer service. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensuring optimal use of facility through effective scheduling and coordination with various stakeholders
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for users, including daily cleaning and minor repairs
- Coordinating with vendors and contractors for maintenance and repairs
- Providing excellent customer service to members and external clients
- Assisting with event planning and execution, including setup and teardown
- Performing routine equipment checks and reporting any issues to management
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, including inventory control and facility usage
**Requirements:**
- Diploma in Event Management or Recreation & Leisure Facilities Management, Fitness & Health Promotions, or related field
- Two years' experience in operation and maintenance of recreation or athletic facilities
- CPR A and AED certification
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
