About the Role

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advisor, Shared Secretariat to provide strategic advice, guidance, and support to management, staff, the First Nations Health Council, and the First Nations Health Directors Association.

As a key member of the team, you will support the Director in the development, execution, and maintenance of function-specific strategies, programs, processes, and procedures that align with overall organizational needs and goals.

You will also provide written advice, communication tools, briefings, or published papers, and have significant experience in project management, research, report, and publications writing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to management, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of function-specific strategies, programs, and procedures
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and governance decisions
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with First Nations communities, health associations, and government agencies

Requirements

  • University degree in public policy, political science, First Nations governance, or related discipline
  • 4-6 years of relevant specialized experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Significant experience in providing written advice, communication tools, briefings, or published papers
  • Experience in project management, research, report, and publications writing
  • Knowledge of the BC First Nations Health Governance Structure, Tripartite agreements, and processes
