Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Advisor to join our Shared Secretariat department. This role involves providing strategic advice, guidance, and support to management, staff, the First Nations Health Council, and the First Nations Health Directors Association.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The pay range reflects industry standards and recognizes exceptional experience and competencies needed to excel in this role.
About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will support the Director in developing, executing, and maintaining function-specific strategies, programs, processes, and procedures that align with organizational goals. You will also analyze complex issues, demonstrating innovative thinking by researching, preparing recommendations, and addressing community and political matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A university degree in public policy, political science, or a related field, plus 4-6 years of relevant specialized experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Significant experience in providing written advice, communication tools, briefings, or published papers;
- Experience in project management, supporting projects and small teams;
- Experience with research, report writing, and publications;
- Knowledge of the BC First Nations Health Governance Structure, Tripartite agreements, and processes.
