Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified professional with expertise in organizational theory and related fields. As an Open Learning Faculty Member, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality online courses, engaging with students, and providing exceptional support throughout their academic journey.

About the Role

This is a part-time, remote position that requires a strong commitment to teaching excellence. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree or master's degree in the subject area, with substantial teaching experience. They will also possess excellent facilitation skills, ability to respond quickly to student queries, and experience working with current educational technologies.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in the subject matter of the course, have received training in active facilitation of learning, and be familiar with current educational technologies and tools. They will also demonstrate effective pedagogy, skills in delivering flexible learning materials, and application of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality online courses, including designing assessments and evaluations.
  • Engage with students through regular contact, responding to queries, and providing prompt feedback.
  • Mark assignments, exams, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of organizational theory.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree or master's degree in the subject area, with substantial teaching experience.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, ability to respond quickly to student queries.
  • Familiarity with current educational technologies and tools.
  • Effective pedagogy, skills in delivering flexible learning materials.
  • Application of adult learning principles.
Benefits

We offer competitive pay rates, ranging from $40.00 to 60.00 per hour, depending on the number of students in the course, type of work, and other factors. This includes hourly rates as well as set dollar amounts for certain types of work.
