Jastram Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team as a Design and Development Expert. This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to leverage their expertise in mechanical engineering technology and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions.
About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated individual with 5+ years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD), solid modeling, and drafting. In addition to technical skills, we value excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities- Design and Development: Assist in preparing detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems and components.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create precise models and renderings.
- Engineering Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and implement mechanical solutions.
- Shop Drawings and Fabrication: Create accurate shop drawings and assist in the fabrication process.
- Education: College diploma or certificate in mechanical engineering technology or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering technology.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of CAD software, solid modeling, and drafting; excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
