We are seeking an accomplished Strategic Contracting Professional to join our team at RSI Recruitment Inc. in Toronto, Ontario. This dynamic role involves collaborating with both Canadian and U.S. stakeholders on various construction projects.

About the Role

As a key member of our Finance and Administration department, you will be responsible for managing contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Your primary objective will be to maintain strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, property managers, and other clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Review & Negotiation: You will review and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts (service/maintenance, refurbishment, and new construction agreements) ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify contractual risks and work with the legal and project management teams to mitigate potential issues.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, property managers, and other clients, serving as the point of contact for contract-related discussions and negotiations.
  • Effective Communication: Work closely with project managers, the legal team, and finance departments to ensure contract terms are properly executed and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accurate documentation of contract documents. Prepare reports and updates for senior management regarding contract statuses and compliance.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving contract disputes, claims, and issues through negotiation and, if necessary, legal support.
Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience: In contract review and administration within the construction industry.
  • Literacy in Legal Terminology: Familiarity with legal terms and conditions, enabling you to read and interpret legal contract language.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Law, Business, or a related field.
  • Essential Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, along with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $80,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience. We also provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
