Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Connect Consulting Inc.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing key elements of the supply chain function, including managing supplier selection and relationship management, contract administration, bid management, inventory management, and reporting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify potential suppliers and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Prepare and manage procurement documents, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Conduct bid evaluations, cost analyses, and ensure technical compliance with specifications.
  • Define and enforce safety compliance requirements in all procurement documents and assess supplier bids in collaboration with the safety team.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align solutions with organizational goals and support successful supply agreements.
  • Maintain inventory by establishing reorder points, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate with shipping and freight services to ensure safety compliance in handling and logistics processes.
  • Track delivery schedules, manage system reconciliation, and monitor inventory levels through the work order system.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education from an accredited college or university with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement/inventory management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract drafting, competitive price analysis, supplier performance management, or similar roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Proficient in using systems for inventory and procurement management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end bidding processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is between $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
