Baseball Development Assistant Coach

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can assist head coaches, maintain a safe practice space, and represent Jays Care in a professional manner. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be able to motivate and keep children engaged, and have current Standard First Aid certification.

Responsibilities
  • Attend all training, practices, games, and final tournaments
  • Support head coach with leading baseball/softball games and program activities
  • Maintain a physically and emotionally safe practice space/field for all participants
  • Help remove barriers to participation for students at assigned schools
  • Represent Jays Care and the RBI Spring program in a highly professional manner
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience working with children and youth who face significant barriers to accessing sport and recreation opportunities
  • Experience playing and/or coaching baseball/softball or any other sports
  • A high level of energy and a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for all participants
  • A positive attitude and the ability to motivate and keep children engaged
  • The ability to travel reliably to your assigned school
  • Current Standard First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain prior to the start of work contract
What We Offer

Rogers offers a competitive salary of $18/hour, which translates to approximately $37,440 per year based on 40 hours of work per week. In addition to a fair compensation package, we foster a diverse and inclusive environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
