Job Title: Marketing & Communications Specialist

Job Summary:

The Marketing & Communications Specialist will play a key role in developing and implementing internal and external communications and marketing strategies to promote the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation's brand and mission. This includes creating engaging content, managing social media, and collaborating with Foundation staff to increase the reach and impact of our profile and visibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement internal and external communications plans to promote the Foundation's brand and mission.
  • Manage and maintain the Foundation's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with Foundation staff to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Foundation's programs and services.
  • Design and create visual content, including graphics, videos, and presentations, to support marketing and communications efforts.
  • Write and edit content for various channels, including social media, email newsletters, and the Foundation's website.
  • Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to inform marketing and communications strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Provide support for fundraising events and campaigns, including developing marketing materials and promoting events through social media and other channels.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in communications and marketing roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media management and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
