About the Job

Gill Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installer, you will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial construction sites. You will be required to work at heights, in cold and hot temperatures, and in dusty environments.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in drywall installation an asset
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
