Job Title: Drywall Installer

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at Young Boy Drywall Ltd. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to create smooth surfaces, and ensuring a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
