Job Description:

The Regional Sales Director will lead the development and management of an assigned region, responsible for the strategic growth and profitability of the company's products through designated distributors and dealers. This role will establish and implement a sales strategy to meet or exceed business performance and growth targets, while developing talent and managing performance within a team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive business growth and profitability.
  2. Lead a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, feedback, and support to ensure high performance.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key customers and industry leaders, including dental dealers.
  4. Collaborate with marketing to drive marketing strategies and priorities.
  5. Manage and adhere to budget guidelines established by the company.
  6. Assess team performance, identifying high potential associates and underperforming associates.
  7. Make decisions regarding development training and top grading, managing hiring and promotions.
  8. Prepare and deliver reports, including sales forecasts, monthly reports, and expense reports.
  9. Follow corporate policies regarding customer entertainment, customer relations, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant sales leadership experience.
  • 7+ years successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the dental space.
  • Experience leading a team of sales professionals.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prefer candidate to reside within the designated geography (British Columbia or Alberta).
  • Ability to digest and verbalize technical product and clinical information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with consideration to business impact.
  • Proven leadership skills in coaching, development, and performance management.
