Credit and Collections Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team at HSE Integrated in Calgary. As a key member of our Accounting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of credit risks and the timely resolution of accounts receivable issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve client payment processes and reduce credit risks.
- Analyze and support credit approval and review processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough account research and analysis to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex accounts receivable issues and negotiate payment arrangements with clients.
- Proactively review accounts receivable aging status and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives to improve credit and collections processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients and sales teams.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to mid-sized organization with exposure to Canada's energy sector.
- A credit specialization (FCI or CCP) completed or in progress would be an asset.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
