About the Role

Macaulay Child Development Centre is seeking a skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This opportunity will allow you to work in a dynamic environment, making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator who can develop and lead high-quality programs for children aged [0-6] years. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive environment, supervising children, and collaborating with other staff members to achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging programs that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Safeguard children's well-being at all times while ensuring the equipment and physical environment meet safety standards.
  • Develop and execute daily programming using approved curricula and approaches to foster optimal development in children.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and families regarding their child's progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Liaise with other agencies and professionals to support children's success and well-being.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with children and families.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Experience delivering inclusive programming for children with special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the ELECT curriculum and program planning based on an inclusion model.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of $50,072 - $54,465 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and paid time off entitlements (20 vacation days & 3 float days).
