Job Title: Early Childhood Educator - Temporary Full-Time Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a temporary full-time basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality programs for children to facilitate their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Lead the implementation of inclusive programs and activities that cater to children with special needs.
  • Support a team environment in the classroom and centre.
  • Plan and execute daily programming using approved curricula and approaches.
  • Encourage active learning and build self-esteem in an inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Facilitate planned and spontaneous experiences.
  • Work in compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Collaborate with other staff members as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and families.
  • Provide feedback and information regarding children's learning and development.
  • Liaise with other agencies and individuals to support children's progress.
  • Support the team in managing children's medication schedules and allergies.
  • Supervise student teachers and assist with college evaluation forms.
  • Attend agency staff meetings and training sessions.


Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education degree or diploma.
  • Experience working with families and children, including those with special needs.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Strong working knowledge of the ELECT and High Scope curriculum.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work partnerships with parents, families, and colleagues.
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Police Record Check and current Standard First Aid certification.
