About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Kenneth Robert Courville. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Companionship: Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Light Exercise: Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and well-being.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring they receive nutritious and balanced meals.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Launder clothing and household linens, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional bending and crouching.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
