Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential personal care and assistance to clients in their own residences. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals who require support in their daily activities.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset or equivalent experience
Work Environment

The position offers optional accommodation at no charge on a live-in basis, although this is not a condition of employment. The work will primarily take place in the employer's or client's home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene
  • Support clients in regular exercise activities, such as walking
  • Change non-sterile dressings as needed
  • Provide assistance with feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client needs
Qualifications
  • Certificates: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
  • Security: Criminal record check required
Physical and Personal Attributes

The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, along with repetitive tasks. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
