Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential personal care and assistance to clients in their own residences. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring support.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset or equivalent experience
Work Environment
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (Note: This is NOT a condition of employment).
  • Work is conducted in the employer's or client's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care.
  • Assist clients in water activities (e.g., pool).
  • Support clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Encourage regular exercise, such as walking.
  • Change non-sterile dressings as needed.
  • Assist with feeding or provide support during meals.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
Required Certifications
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
Physical and Personal Requirements
  • Ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Capable of handling repetitive tasks.
