Job Title: Executive Housekeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeper to join our team at Super 8 Castlegar.

Job Summary

The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations of our motel, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure that they meet our high standards.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met at all times.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas are covered.
  • Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
  • Dependability, flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30-40 hours per week.
