Lead Our Ecology Team

We are seeking a highly experienced Group Manager to lead our North Ecology team, part of the Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment (EcoEIA) business in BC and Yukon. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and technical expertise to support a variety of projects, ranging in type, size, and complexity.

You will join a growing team of marine, freshwater, and terrestrial biologists and ecologists, based in the North of BC and the Yukon, with offices in Terrace, Ft. St. John, and Whitehorse. As Group Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering our strategic objectives and continue to build and grow our ecology-related services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe and positive environment for colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a non-wavering commitment to health and safety.
  • Support project managers and take on team lead responsibilities, including reviewing cost estimates and client deliverables.
  • Participate in human resources activities, including annual performance and salary reviews, hiring, and employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Work with the EcoEIA Director and Vice President to support the financial success of the team.

Requirements:

  • University degree in environmental or natural sciences, environmental engineering, or other directly related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on ecological project delivery.
  • Professional registration (R.P.Bio, P. Biol., P.Ag, RPP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and multiple priorities.
