Ecology Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Manager to lead our North Ecology team, part of the Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment (EcoEIA) business in BC and Yukon. As a Group Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering our strategic objectives and continue to build and grow our ecology-related services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of 15+ ecologists and environmental specialists, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and implement business strategies to grow the Ecology team and strengthen client relationships.
- Collaborate with the EcoEIA Director and Vice President to monitor financial results and implement changes to achieve desired financial outcomes.
- Communicate company policies and mandates to the Ecology team and oversee their application.
- Foster collaboration across the EcoEIA team and other WSP Business Lines.
- University degree in environmental or natural sciences, environmental engineering, or other directly related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on ecological project delivery.
- Professional registration (R.P.Bio, P. Biol., P.Ag, RPP, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen and financial management experience, developing, tracking, and forecasting on annual budgets.
