About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Manager to lead our North Ecology team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment (EcoEIA) business, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to support a variety of projects across different sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, support project managers, and take on team lead responsibilities.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, review cost estimates, and ensure timely delivery of client deliverables.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development activities to support growth of the Ecology team and strengthen client relationships.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster collaboration across the EcoEIA team and other WSP Business Lines, communicate company policies, and inspire team commitment to our WSP Guiding Principles and Vision.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree (minimum undergraduate) in environmental or natural sciences, environmental engineering, or other directly related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on ecological project delivery.
  • Professional Registration: Professional registration (R.P.Bio, P. Biol., P.Ag, RPP, etc.)
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, financial management experience, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent project management skills, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
