We are seeking a skilled Benefits Associate to join our team at Selectpath Benefits & Financial Inc.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients. As a Benefits Associate, you will be working closely with advisors, carriers, and internal operations to manage client relationships, prepare documentation, and enhance service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations in every interaction.
Plan and Coordinate Client RenewalsYou will plan, organize, and facilitate the preparation and completion of client renewals, coordinating with key stakeholders to manage timelines and ensure all necessary documentation and processes are completed accurately.
Respond to Client InquiriesYou will respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries, explain benefits options, and facilitate the resolution of any issues that may arise.
Negotiate Pricing with Benefit CarriersYou will assist in negotiating pricing with benefit carriers as required to secure the most favorable terms for clients.
Prepare Benefit Plan Options and ProposalsYou will help advisors prepare for finalist meetings and assist in producing benefit plan options and proposals for prospective clients.
Manage Large Client FilesYou will manage large client files with attention to detail, ensuring that all client information is accurately recorded, securely stored, and easily accessible for reference.
Provide Accurate and Thorough AnswersYou will provide accurate and thorough answers to client requests and questions, demonstrating a deep understanding of the benefit plans and the ability to provide clear and helpful information.
Communicate with CarriersYou will communicate with carriers through client issues as required, ensuring that all concerns are handled promptly and effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications- Education
A university degree or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible work experience is required.
ExperienceMinimum 3 years of benefits experience is required.
CertificationsThe Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation is preferred, but not required. The Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation is also preferred.
SkillsYou must have advanced knowledge and application of MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You should also possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
LocationThis position is located in London, ON, and we prefer candidates who are willing to relocate to this area.
