Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority is one of eight health and social services authorities established by the Department of Health and Social Services in the Government of the Northwest Territories.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Community Wellness Director to lead our community wellness programs, including adult homelessness initiatives, mental health and addictions services, and supportive living services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to clients across the Northwest Territories, ensuring alignment with territorial and national standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of community wellness programs, including adult homelessness initiatives and mental health and addictions services.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality services to clients, meeting or exceeding territorial and national standards.
  • Establish contractual arrangements with NGOs and service providers for the provision of Adult Social Services, MHAS, and Corrections Health Service components.
  • Provide leadership to a team of approximately fifty (50) staff, promoting collaboration and cultural sensitivity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's Degree in nursing, health sciences, or health administration, or an undergraduate degree in nursing or health sciences with a minimum of 12 years of directly related clinical experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of directly related clinical experience with progressively more responsibility, including at least 5 years of mental health and addictions management experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to promote collaboration and cultural sensitivity.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $115,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered.
