The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is responsible for designing, planning, and delivering health and social services across the Northwest Territories. As a member of the NTHSSA's executive team, the Territorial Medical Director plays a crucial role in leading the organization towards effective interprofessional care, quality, and outcomes of health services.

 

Salary:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $262,992 to $350,656 in gross earnings, plus $52,792 - $65,942 for benefits. Additionally, there is a recruitment bonus of $25,000 for a 1-year contract.

 

Job Description: Territorial Medical Director Responsibilities:

The Territorial Medical Director functions in a collaborative Dyad partnership with the Executive Director of Clinical Integration, focusing on effective interprofessional care, quality, and outcomes of health services. The successful candidate will provide leadership to designated NWT practitioner leaders who report directly to them, as well as to the Office of Medical Affairs and Credentialing (OMAC) for physician resource planning, recruitment, and retention.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree plus Residency with a minimum of 10 years' clinical experience
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice in the Northwest Territories
