About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Alliance Ground International (AGI). As a Duty Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our airport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the work of ramp team members to ensure efficient and safe aircraft handling.
- Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all ramp operations.
- Assist with recruiting and provide on-the-job training and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Serve as the point person for customers and management to minimize or eliminate potential delays.
- Enforce all AGI and Airline safety regulations and company policies.
- Assure that all GSE maintenance procedures are completed on each shift.
- Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, and aircraft loading manifest.
- Actively search for and report future business opportunities to station management.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
- Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
- Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
- Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
- Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
- Work outside in all types of weather and around jet and machinery noises.
